"Book It Calendar Award Recipients"

These five girls have done an amazing job reading this year! They all read for 20 minutes for 20 days each month since October through March. They each have gotten free pizza coupons as well as 25 "Redd Tickets" a piece for completing this task. I am very proud of my wonderful readers! They were the ONLY 45 students out of the ENTIRE class to complete their "Book It Calendars" and turn them in on time. Thanks for all of your hard work girls!

  • ·Parents, please email me any pictures you have taken from any field trip from this past year if possible so that I can add it to our End-of-Year video. Thanks again for all that you do!



  • We only have 1 reading story left for the school year!! Please help your child study and read each and every night! Encourage your child to take their time and read the directions slowly.

  • End of Year Party is scheduled for May 29th. We will be having PET DAY! Students will be allowed to bring 1 pet for their pet day show/tell, BUT PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT TO TRANSPORT ANIMAL TO AND FROM SCHOOL. No pets will be allowed to be left "unaccompanied" with their student owner. Parent must bring case to carry pet for transporting.



  • Our teaching projects will be presented May 21st-May 25th. Please be creative!

  • Math is dwindling down but we are very busy and will have some BIG TESTING coming up soon. Tentatively our End-of-Year Assessment (cumulative of all Units taught) will be completed on Thursday, May 24th. We will also have a practice EOG test the following day on Friday, May 25th. This means that we must finish one more entire Unit before that week, so please help reinforce math topics at home to ensure your student is mastering the topics.  



  • We need KLEENEX or some type of Tissue Paper and auction items for our last auction!



  • Parents, please help your child PRACTICE playing their musical recorder! We are scheduled to "perform" at an event at Barnes and Noble May 29th from 5:30-6:15, but we have to be ready! Please help teach your student how to play smooth sounding notes. I am so excited for this opportunity for them! I will keep you notified closer to the event.



  • Please let me know if you can attend our party at the end of the year! We will be having a Field Day, Pet Day, Party and Award Ceremony for our class, followed by Recorder Performance Practice.



  • AR Books will be finishing up this week. We will no longer have AR books or tests for the rest of the year. Thank you for helping your student read at home!
